It's all very well if you have a partner who can paypal the seller, but what if you are (like me) on your own? Or as with tonight, you had PayPal problems?

I can understand they making it harder for deadbeat bidders to mess sellers about, but it seems to penalise the genuine buyer more than that. Besides a deadbeat buyer could easily leave negative feedback once they made their mind up not to pay and the seller cant do much about that because they cant leave negative feedback themselves!pullein-thompson-archivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06875692220143559727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6269512425715662927.post-5910310943313796432009-11-03T21:19:07.032+00:002009-11-03T21:19:07.032+00:00Yes, I have noticed that the unpaid bidder thing h...Yes, I have noticed that the unpaid bidder thing has changed. I certainly wouldn't start hassling anyone for money after only 4 days. As you say not everyone is on the internet 24/7 some people have lives! Ebay is making so many rules and regulations people may just decide to stay away entirelyClairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09255073307166262434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6269512425715662927.post-26795252076550879892009-10-31T22:25:22.443+00:002009-10-31T22:25:22.443+00:00What also annoys me as a buyer is there "new&...What also annoys me as a buyer is there "new" unpaid bidder process. Instead of the 7 days, as a seller if the buyer does not pay within 4 days then the seller can start their unpaid bidder process.

As someone who does not have daily internet access (only at weekends) when something comes along in the week I have used a sniping program. Sellers have rarely complained: they can see from my feedback I always pay.

But due to the fact I cannot contact them (I cannot log into my ebay account until the weekend) some seller can now start the unpaid process. Due to an horrible seller back in 2003 I have two strikes against my account - if I get just one of those that means I lose my account. Which means that I lose my ebay plus points not to mention my feedback. I now find that I have to miss auctions which I would otherwise bid on to make sure that I don't fall foul of this regulation.

I understand there are a lot of deadbeat bidders, but it also penalises the genuine buyer. The 7 days rule has been there since I have been using ebay (2001) - there is no reason why they should change it.pullein-thompson-archivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06875692220143559727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6269512425715662927.post-10989580400699375072009-10-30T11:49:15.066+00:002009-10-30T11:49:15.066+00:00Thanks for the words of support pony girl. I'm thinking of doing something on facebook to up their profile. They certainly seem a fairer site, but desperately need a higher profile.Clairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09255073307166262434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6269512425715662927.post-38986792993877314952009-10-29T10:40:07.287+00:002009-10-29T10:40:07.287+00:00Great rant, Claire. Plus I certainly hadn`t worked out that my final valuation fees would be so much higher now that I have to add postage to the starting price.

It was bad enough having to calculate how much postage cost to add when they gave us a limit. This is even worse. Ebay certainly is not what it once was. I, for one, will be checking out ebid. Thanks for telling us about it.PONY GIRLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17399856365616414484noreply@blogger.com
